September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month!Did you know that ovarian cancer kills more women than all other cancers of the reproductive system combined? But for women who are fortunate enough to have their cancer diagnosed early, the chance for recovery is 85 to 90 percent. Please make sure that the women you know are aware of what Ovarian Cancer is, the symptoms and not afraid to ASK QUESTIONS of their doctor. Below has many items, including the warning signs. What are the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer? Pelvic and abdominal pain, abdominal distress Increased abdominal size, bloating, feeling full quickly Unusual fatigue Unexplained weight loss or gain Shortness of breath Lower back pain Urinary frequency or urgency Abnormal bleeding If you have experienced one or more of these for longer than three weeks, make an appointment to see your doctor immediately. |
